I am an experienced piano teacher who is passionate about teaching piano to children as well as adults.
My piano lessons cater for all abilities ranging from early beginners to grade 8 and beyond. I can teach in a variety of musical styles and lessons are planned to suit the individual's needs. I am also a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), the UK's professional body for musicians.
Online video lessons are currently available.
Piano lessons for children
Piano lessons with children are fun and creative. I generally teach children from 6 years old, and all lessons are tailored to your child’s specific needs. Children are taught how to read music in a fun, enjoyable way which is a quick and easy to pick up.

I love teaching adults! I teach adult beginners and returners as well as advanced students focusing on style and interpretation. It’s an old cliché but it really is never too late to learn to play.
Playing for Fun!
Probably one of the most important things when learning to play piano is to enjoy it. I am quite happy to teach adults and children who don’t want to put themselves through the pressure of exams. There is so much piano music out there – let’s get on and enjoy it

Times & prices
Piano lessons can range from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the students ability and enthusiasm to learn. Lessons are usually blocked booked and student's will be allocated a reserved timeslot.
About Kath
As well as holding a degree, I have a Diploma in both Music and Teaching. I am a member of the ISM as a specialist piano teacher which means you can be confident that I am appropriately qualified and experienced to teach the levels which I offer.
